a look inside my closet

I've been slowly trying to reorganize my closet (which is really a spare bedroom) in the least costly way possible. Some of it looks more like what would be in a dorm room, clear plastic drawers and what not, but I'm slowly working in more classic grown up pieces. Some of my favorite pieces are my jewelry organization, which are a mix of vintage and modern looks. What are your favorite/best ways to organize your favorite jewelry, purses and shoes?

lucky luuurve

In the words of Alvy Singer, Woody Allen's character in Annie Hall, "Love is too weak a word for what I feel- I luuurve you, you know, I loave you, I luff you, two F's.."

Today is one of those days where I just feel so lucky to have a guy who loves me for me. A guy who is always there to hold my hand in public, to chase me around the basement until he wrestles me down and to warm my nose when it's cold. It's the little stuff that gets me every time. Nothing special happened today, I haven't even seen him except for my goodbye kiss when he left for work, but I still feel so blessed. I luuurve you Bray :)
My two favorite pictures of my beau, and our kitty Luna in the bottom one :)

skeleton keys

I have always had a love for skeleton keys as charms on jewelry, but it wasn't until recently that I realized I loved them anywhere. I've seen vintage skeleton keys used beautifully in weddings, in stationary and then as art pieces. Since I love any easy way to spruce up a bare wall, I had to get these keys from Pottery Barn. You get seven keys for only $19! I decided to hang them in the half bathroom to take up some space under the mirror and I loovvveee it.

(sorry it's such a bad pic! I did a quick snap

flower child

I have been SO obsessed with flower arrangements lately! It's funny because before I was never into buying or receiving flowers but now I can think of nothing better to have. Most of the flowers I've been lusting over are from wedding bouquets or table arrangements but they would totally look good in my bedroom or dressing room and would definitely brighten my day. (And I'm definitely using some of these flowers and ideas at my wedding)

I'm noticing a trend here; almost every flower combination has an antique pink/blush tone. It's totally my color, you know the color that whenever your friends see they think of you, or the color that nearly every item of your wardrobe consists of, also the color you'd love to paint your bathroom but your boyfriend won't go for. Yep, that's me.

weekend getaway

For a combination birthday, anniversary and valentines present my boyfriend and I took a much needed trip to Boston. We flew out on Thursday and back on Saturday so it was a short trip (wayyy too short) but we had such an amazing time.
We went to the Celtics vs. Lakers game on Thursday night, which the Celtics lost (boo!) but was still such a great experience. Although I love my fashion and share of girly things, I love my sports too, especially basketball. We spent all day sight seeing on Friday, including a tour of Fenway Park where the Boston Red Sox play baseball and all of the historical stops from the Revolutionary period. We had wonderful food and desserts and it was nice to spend alone time and to do whatever we wanted. We finally got used to the subway station and it felt natural to walk all around in a big city holding hands. I would love to move there or somewhere very similar, but for now we'll just have to go visit as often as possible.

BHLDN

The wonderful minds behind Anthropologie have created a new wedding line BHLDN (Beholden) which just launched today and is just magical. I would have everything in the shop if possible! I'm already creating my perfect wedding night involving a majority of their items and thought I would share a few of my favorite pieces.
